Meet The Founders
Valerie Guerrero
Where to begin… To be honest, I had no idea what radiology was. I knew I didn’t want to be a nurse but I did want to be in the medical field. Once I learned what the field was about, I never looked back after I started school.I have always into crafting. Whether it was painting my doors, making wreaths, or wood rounds.
Then one radtech week (week dedicated to imaging techs) in 2021, I wanted to make x-ray markers for all the techs in my department. So I started doing my research. I must have watched about 100 videos on resin and techniques. After countless failures, I figured out how to perfect my craft.
Since I purchased markers from other sellers, I knew what the shop needed for us to stand out from everyone else.Variety for sure, needed to have markers that appeal to both men and women equally. I want the quality to be the best. Anyone can make markers, but the competition lack quality. Customer service is so important to me. As I’ve had such bad experiences in the past from other sellers. I want every customer to feel like they are my only customer.
I found an amazing team that makes the shop what it has become today. My dream is to help as many kiddos and families as we can. We started with one family and have been able to help 10 families monthly all because of our customers. Beyond blessed that we can use this craft to help so many around the world.
Hello everyone, my name is Jonathan. Born and raised heart of Texas, I am one of the business owners for Radiant Southern Charm.
I have been an X-ray tech and CT tech for 7 years and have enjoyed my medical imaging career! I enjoy creating new 3D printed designs for the shop! Looking forward to learning more about CAD design to bring in more products for our shop.
When I am not doing business stuff I enjoy playing videos games, I am a freshwater and saltwater aquarium enthusiast, I look up anything meteorology related and I enjoy watching Space X rocket ship launches!

I pursued a marketing degree in college, and it's been an incredible journey ever since. When I'm not working, you can find me hitting the gym and staying active. I'm a total foodie and love exploring new food and drink spots. Trying out different flavors and cuisines is my idea of a great time. The best part of being in the marketing world is witnessing businesses grow and thrive. It's so fulfilling to see all the hard work pay off.
Hey there! I'm the Logistics Director and a part of the Creative Team. I love working here because it allows me the ability to craft! It's my peaceful and exciting escape from the world.
As a kid I loved drawing Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z characters! I enjoyed origami, card-making, and crafting in general, so much so that I would sell my work to other kids at school! But by the time I got to college, I had decided to pursue a career as a pediatrician and had no time for art.
I'm a college graduate who loves traveling the world and spending quality time with my family. For the past four years, I've been working as a radiology technologist in Kyle, Texas, and my passion for my career as an X-ray tech remains as strong as ever.
I specialize in creating cartoon-style characters, emojis, stickers, prints, and book illustrations, with a positive and creative flair. My inspiration stems from life, travel, people, music, movies, and everything around me. Art has been a constant in my life; I simply cannot imagine my existence without it. My journey into professional illustration began in 2004 with my first officially published book illustrations. Now, with 20 years in the illustrator profession, my passion for bringing imaginative concepts to life continues to grow.

RADiant Southern Charm is a distinctive brand founded by Jonathan and Valerie Guerrero, specializing in handcrafted, bespoke medical accessories.
2021
In November 2021, we embarked on our journey of crafting X-ray markers, starting from our kitchen counter in a tiny apartment before moving to the living room due to space constraints. A lot of research went into deciding which was the best resin, the best paper, the best printer, the best lead letter, the best of everything. Our first sale was Avenger-themed markers, a significant challenge as we were new to this process and encountered many errors. However, as time progressed, sales began to pick up, and within six months of opening our shop, we were fairly busy, averaging about 30 sales a week. The growth necessitated a move to a larger space, and soon after, we began expanding our team, adding graphic designers, marketing directors, and logistics staff. We couldn't do it alone.
2023
With time, our skills were refined, and we invested in 3D printers to create products appealing to both men and women. By our second year, sales had increased to 40-50 a week, capturing attention worldwide. Our Instagram page played a pivotal role in reaching a broader audience, with sales spanning from California to Ireland, England, Germany, and even Dubai—truly going international was a huge milestone for us, reaching 3100 sales.
2024
By our third year, the need for even more space led us to move to a larger area as we were now averaging 80-150 sales a week and producing 600-700 X-ray markers a month. That is alot of resin!! We had to buy more printers, more supplies, and we decided to have a team of proffesionals create our unique website! In addition, the shop decided to help those in need. Every marker that was purchased, has allowed us to support familes world wide by providing for food and shelter. The shop keeps growing. With continual growth, new ideas, and implementations, we look forward to making 2025 an extraordinary year!
